Welcome to the Plaza Middle School library page. Our mission is to ensure that every staff and student is an effective user of ideas and information while providing a helpful and safe environment that promotes academic and lifelong learning.
The library collection includes approximately 16,740 books, 55 magazine subscriptions, 980 reference books, 150 professional books and 8 journal subscriptions. The library also houses 30 desktop computers, 40 laptops and 1 printer for students and staff to utilize for research and complete curricular supported projects.
Students coming to the library must have parent or teacher permission and show their planners to a library staff member. Our library book club meets after school on designated dates to discuss current trends in literature.
Circulation Policy: Students may check out up to three books for two weeks. Books should be returned at the Circulation Desk book drop if they plan to check out books that day. No fines are charged for overdue books. Students who lose or damage a book will be billed the price of the book and forfeit the privilege of checking out library books until the book has been returned or financial obligations fulfilled.
A photocopier is available for student use at $.10 per copy with library staff assistance.
