PTA Board Nominations for 2008-09 School Year
President: Rose Delumpa
Vice President Programs: Kim Timms
Vice President Membership: Stephanie Benedetto
Secretary: Bridgit Banasiewicz
Treasurer: Kisha Wright

The president shall:

  1. preside at all meetings of the association;
  2. perform such other duties as may be prescribed in the Plaza Middle School bylaws or assigned by the association;
  3. be a member ex officio of all committees, except the nominating committee;
  4. coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the association in order that the objectives of the PTA are promoted.

The vice presidents shall:

  1. act as aides to the president;
  2. in their designated order, perform the president’s duties in the absence of or inability of the president to act;
  3. the first vice president shall serve as the membership coordinator and shall maintain a current membership listing;
  4. the second vice  president shall serve as program coordinator;
  5. perform other delegated duties as assigned.

The secretary shall:

  1. record the minutes of all general and board meetings of the association;
  2. maintain a copy of the bylaws;
  3. maintain a current membership list;
  4. notify board members of meetings;
  5. perform other delegated duties as assigned.

The treasurer shall be responsible for all PTA funds and finances. The treasurer shall:

  1. have custody of all PTA funds;
  2. keep a full and accurate account of the receipts and expenditures;
  3. make disbursements as authorized by the president, executive board, or PTA in accordance with the budget adopted by the PTA;
  4. have checks or vouchers signed by two (2) persons (the treasurer and one other person);
  5. present a financial statement at every meeting of the PTA and at other times when requested by the Board;
  6. make a full report at the meeting at which new  officers officially assume their duties
  7. have the accounts examined according to auditing procedures;
  8. perform other delegated duties as assigned.

ll officers shall perform the duties outlined in the bylaws and those assigned from time to time. Upon the expiration of the term of office or in case of resignation, each officer shall submit to the president, without delay (not later than ten (10) days), all records, books, and other materials pertaining to the office.

Can you lend a hand? We are looking for helpers in every capacity, but especially volunteers to print, collate and mail out our school newsletter and to help with Ways and Means and Reflections and other school programs. Come join us and make a difference in your child's educational experience!
